As evidenced by the new high tech presses
installed by some of Iowa’s larger newspapers in recent
years, the days of dinger ink-stained pressrooms are on
the wane.
In their place we are finding computerized
high speed presses capable of printing high quality color
and necessitating well-trained operators. Likewise, pre-press
operations have embraced high technology requiring similarly
well-trained technicians.
