Legacy Walk Brick Project

Leave a lasting tribute to your newspaper.

The Iowa Newspaper Foundation embarked on a very exciting project in 2007. As an ongoing celebration of the Iowa Newspaper Association's 75th Anniversary, the INF provided a unique opportunity for newspapers and supporters of Iowa newspapers to leave a lasting tribute to Iowa's newspaper industry. Located outside the front door of the INA office building in Des Moines' historic East Village, the Iowa Newspaper Foundation's Legacy Walk is a permanent testament to the newspapers of Iowa. The Legacy Walk features various sizes of engraved brick and granite pavers.

You have the opportunity to be a part of this powerful and enduring project by purchasing a commemorative brick that will recognize newspapers, businesses, colleagues, or family members.

The first round of bricks in the Iowa Newspaper Foundation's Legacy Walk was installed in October, 2007. If you'd still like to be included, you can honor an individual, newspaper, or company with this special tribute by reserving your space in the next installment of brick placement.

Your contribution to the INF's Legacy Walk will be used by the Iowa Newspaper Foundation to improve the quality and future of Iowaâs newspapers and the communities they serve through quality educational programs.
